Guitar stands for acoustic guitars1/3/2024 ![]() ![]() That's when my wife started putting it in a case every time I set it down. Anyway, this new guitar didn't have a case so I put it up on the wall, leaving my acoustic temporarily homeless. Starting to sound like a first world problem yet? Believe me, I'm aware. Then I got another guitar for my birthday. So naturally, I started using the acoustic more and leaving all the electric gear in its place. And it really does get discouraging when you can't just pick up and start on a whim. ![]() ![]() I live in a tiny house, so my life is a routine of unpacking gear, setting it up, and packing it away again when I'm finished. I threw a tantrum the other night because my wife kept putting one of my guitars away in its case. After a very difficult repair it was fixed, but not he always keeps a humidifier in his case. I have a friend who received a beautiful acoustic guitar that had never been humidified, and the bridge was completely ruined. This will in the short run keep a crisp sound (at least it does to me) and in the long run prevent any major damages. The guitars are preserved better in their case even if you keep your room at a constant temperature because the case provides better support for the neck.ĭefinitely keep a humidifier in an acoustic guitar whenever you are not playing it. Keeping it on certain kinds of stands can also stain the finish if you are not careful. The guitar I play the most is kept by my amp with the case unlocked, so it is as simple as switching on the amp and lifting it out of the case. I personally keep my guitars in their cases, not only for their own safety (mostly because of my own clumsiness) but also to preserve them. ![]()
